Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences

The Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences is an undergraduate degree programme that equips students with knowledge and skills in the management of information resources in both traditional and digital environments. The programme combines theoretical foundations with practical applications to prepare graduates for careers in records management, library services, digital content management, and information systems, as well as for further studies.

Applicants must meet any one of the following:

  • Minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus) with at least C (Plain) in Mathematics and English or Kiswahili; OR
  • KNEC Diploma (Credit) in Information Science or other information-related fields; OR
  • Any other qualification recognized by the University Senate in accordance with CUE guidelines.
  • Duration: Four (4) academic years
  • Mode of Study: Full-time
