Introduction
The Bachelor of Education (Science) is an undergraduate degree programme designed to prepare professionally qualified teachers for secondary schools and other educational institutions. The programme combines education theory, teaching methodology, curriculum design, educational psychology, and subject‑specific science content to develop competent educators who can teach science subjects effectively. Graduates are equipped with both pedagogical and content knowledge necessary for science teaching and educational leadership.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy any one of the following requirements:
- Minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus) with at least C+ (Plus) in two teaching subjects (science majors such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences) and at least C (Plain) in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili; OR
- Diploma in Education with relevant teaching qualifications from an institution recognised by the University Senate; OR
- Any other qualification recognised by the University Senate in accordance with Commission for University Education (CUE) guidelines.
