Bachelor of Science in Informatics

Introduction

Informatics is the science and practice of processing, managing, and communicating information. It combines elements of information technology, information systems, and data analysis to understand how both natural and artificial systems store, process, and interact with information. As a bridging discipline, informatics plays a vital role in applying technology to solve real-world problems in organizational, societal, and global contexts.

There is a growing global demand for skilled informatics professionals—particularly those with university-level training. In Kenya, the need is especially high for professionals such as Information Systems Managers, ICT Managers, Software Developers, Programmers, System Designers, and Web Developers.
