Gideon’s International Donates 625 Bibles to Kabarnet University College

Kabarnet University College today received a heartfelt and uplifting visit from members of Gideons International – Kabarnet Camp, who graciously donated 625 Bibles to the institution. The team, led by Mr. Vincent Chebor alongside Mr. Christopher Chebyegon and Mr. Isaac Chesire, delivered the Bibles as part of their mission to share God’s Word and nurture spiritual growth within learning communities. Their gesture reflects a deep commitment to supporting young people and academic staff as they pursue both knowledge and spiritual grounding.

The Acting Principal, Prof. Daniel Chebutuk, expressed sincere appreciation for the donation, describing it as a blessing that aligns with the University College’s values and commitment to holistic education. He was joined by the Acting Deputy Principal, Prof. Josephat Cheboi, and Deputy Registrars Dr. Monicah Chelanga and Dr. Jacob Yegon, who welcomed the visiting team and shared words of thanksgiving. The university leaders collectively noted that the Bibles will be a treasured resource for students and staff seeking strength, wisdom, and inspiration in their daily lives.

In his remarks, Prof. Chebutuk emphasized that higher learning does not only shape academic and professional excellence but also molds character, purpose, and spiritual well-being. He noted that the presence of scriptural resources on campus reinforces Kabarnet University College’s mission to nurture well-rounded graduates who excel both intellectually and morally. “This donation will go a long way in supporting the spiritual nourishment of our student community,” he stated.

Representing Gideons International, Mr. Chebor shared the organization’s enduring mission: to place God’s Word into the hands and hearts of people across the world. He highlighted that moments of faith often begin quietly—with a single Bible placed at the right time in the right hands, offering hope, guidance, and encouragement. Gideons International believes that through prayer and the Word of God, spiritual seeds are planted and nurtured in God’s time, transforming lives in powerful and meaningful ways.

The Kabarnet University College community extends its heartfelt gratitude to Gideons International for their generosity and continued ministry. The donation not only strengthens the spiritual fabric of the institution but also serves as a reminder of the power of service, faith, and partnership in uplifting communities. The Bibles will be distributed across the university, ensuring students and staff have access to the timeless values and teachings that have guided generations in their personal and professional journeys.
