MPESA Foundation is funding the Proposed Renovation and equipping of the 2no. Computer laboratories at the Kabarnet University College in Baringo County. The project will be managed through Mpesa Foundation’s project management consultants (Linear Cost Consultants Ltd).

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of works shall be as described in the Tender Document which shall be Obtained from the Head of the institution Kabarnet University College.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

1. A valid Bid Bond/Tender Security of 1% of the Tender Sum.
2. Certificate of Incorporation (under Cap 486 of the Laws of Kenya) or Certificate of Registration of Business Name.
3. A valid copy of the Current Single Business Permit issued by the County of the project or neighbouring counties.
4. Copy of valid CR12 or CR13 certificate showing the list of directors/shareholding and issued within the last 12 months.
5. KRA PIN Certificate with eligibility for VAT.
6. Valid tax compliance certificate.
7. A valid copy of the current registration and practicing license with NCA 7 and above as a Building Works Contractor and NCA8 and above for Electrical Works and Mechanical works.
8. Identification of directors (attach copies of ID or Passport and CR12 for companies or CR13 for Business Names).
9. Pre-bid site visit certificate that is signed & stamped by the beneficiary.
10. Proof of power of Attorney to the Authorized person to sign the tender document where applicable.
11. Fully signed & stamped form of tender.
12. Details of at least three contracts of a similar nature executed by the bidder in the last five years by completing Schedule 5 in Section 9 of this tender document.
13. Current Valid EPRA Certificate of the Company/ Company Electrician.
14. Line of Credit of not less than Ksh 8 Million.
15. Bid document MUST be submitted in 2 copies clearly labelled as original and copy.

On or before Wednesday 29th JULY, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Opening will be immediately

thereafter at 12:30 PM. Bidders or their representatives wishing to witness the opening may attend.

NOTE:

The bidders will be expected to visit the site at Kabarnet University College, sign a Tender collection and Site visit register and obtain a Site Visit Certificate, after familiarizing themselves with the site conditions. The costs of visiting the site, printing and filling the tender document shall be borne by the bidder.
Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with Tender name and reference number and delivered to Kabarnet University College, P.O. Box 469- 30400, Kabarnet, on or before Wednesday 29th JULY, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates or their representatives who choose to attend.
