Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for sabbatical placements for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Interested applicants should forward two (2) copies of applications, including updated Curriculum Vitae giving details of the applicant’s age, academic and professional qualifications, working experience, present post, telephone contact and email address, names and addresses of three (3) referees plus certified copies of certificates and testimonials. The reference number of the position applied for should be clearly indicated on both the application letter and the envelope.

Sabbatical opportunities provide senior faculty members with dedicated time to pursue advanced research, scholarly writing, collaborative projects, curriculum development, or other professional enrichment activities that enhance their expertise and contribute to academic excellence.
Eligibility
For appointment to this position, a candidate should,
- Be an Associate Professor or above at their home institution.
- Be eligible for sabbatical leave from their current employer and must be an accredited University/Institution recognized by CUE:
- Have a strong research portfolio with demonstrated track record of scholarly achievement, or professional contribution.
Terms of Service:
- Successful candidate will be offered one [1] year sabbatical;
- Successful applicants shall be engaged as per KUC – Guidelines of Engagement of Staff on Sabbatical Leave.
